Are all the servers down for BTGE? I cant seem to connect to any of them, but I can connect to some other random servers..

It's the new crap update from Steam for both Steam and CSS. Servers need to be updated also. Kyle and gang a probably caught up with stuff. Give it another day or two.

Sorry Everyone I have been living under a rock for like the last year. The server should be updated and be working. I also added everyones admin for the last week tonight. Thanks for everyones patience.

well since my motherboard on my computer needs to be replaced I cant play CS so thats why I havent gotten on here to much. so I am stuck on my crummy laptop. and this update is taking forever. Its flipping huge I wonder what they updated?

It's a huge update and there are changes in game itself, not just a port to MAC. Apparently, many mods are broken because of this update. Also, a bunch of cvars were removed and new ones added. The config files are quite different from before.
Many of the mods are either fixed or have workarounds based on other servers' operations but I don't know what exactly was done.

I think Kyle might be fighting with that monster update from steam. Apart from breaking some of the mods (E.g. source,mani, ...) apparently there's a directory change for Linux based servers also. Windows based servers seem to come back on without fuss after the update. Something about the update putting stuff on a different directory from the original one so any configuration files, scripts and command line parameters will need to be updated/moved also else if you start with the old command line you might end up running the old version instead of the updated version. - I copied all contents of the new orangebox folder into my main CS:S server installation folder (overwriting old files).
- Then I moved all folders except the "hl2" folder into the new orangebox folder (again overwriting all).

- Downloaded latest Mani Admin Plugin, created new "mani_admin_plugin.vdf"
- Repaired mapcycle.txt, maplist.txt, Mani configs...
- fixed my start/update scripts to use the orangebox folder now...
Everything working fine again now. Mani working, update/start scripts working.

man this thing sucks! The update is a big mess just put it that way. I will try to work on it when I get home from work tonight. Yes, one of the mods we are running is not allowing the server to run. I will have to see what works and what doesnt tonight and take it from there. I am just hoping its metamod that doesnt work so we can still have our admin up and running. I hope to have this bad boy up tonight. Thanks again everyone for being patient.
I should also add our virtual server crashed and thats why I couldnt get in the server for a few days and thats why it hasnt been up sooner.

All i can say is this update sucks for us linux bunch. No admin mod out yet for linux so we can run the servers but with no mods.
Beetle said he is working on it and it should be done within a week. We will see. If anyone else has suggestions for an orangebox admin mod in the mean time let me know and shoot me the link on here.

use sourcemod http://www.sourcemod.net/downloads.php they updated it the day after the update. i have been using sourcemod for like 4 months be4 that it was mani but there were too many exploits i also use to use beetles but i just didnt like it _________________

Bettle updated his mod today and still has not been able to get it to work with Linux.  I have been checking everyday to see how updates are going. Prosk8er email me at commando_kyle@bigtim3gaming.com and maybe you can help me with setting it up in the mean time. _________________
